October 2008 Free Sock Competition Winner

You might know by now that I give away a free pair of X-Socks to the customer who submits the best product review. There no criteria for what constitutes 'The Best', it's just what I consider 'The Best' to be at that time.

The winner for the October 2008 Free Sock Comp is: Edward Hawkins and here is his review of the Run Energizer (Compression) Socks

I've been using these since Ironman UK this in prep for going the Ironman 70.3 World Cahmps in Florida on 8th November this year. At first I used during my longer training runs so I could recover quicker, but after two weeks I've brought another two pairs and I used them durin all my run sessions. I am also now going to use them on the bike and on the run sections in the World Champs! Super I can not speak any higher of them. Well worth the money, Cheers BuyXsocks.com, World Champs here I come!

Well done to Ed, he doesn't know it yet but I'll send him an email sometime tomorrow and I'll send him out a pair socks.

Here are a few of the other reviews:

Peter Boswell on the Army Long Socks

I'm a lorry driver and I wanted some thick socks that didn't make my feet sweat when I was wearing boots. I found Xsocks in a local shop but they only had ski style. I bought a pair to try, they were great. Comfortable, warm, excellent fit and they didn't smell when I took them of. I searched the web to find a supplier of army style and found Oneoutdoors so I ordered some from them. Great service and the socks were excellent - even after wearing the same pair for more than a day they didn't smell. They've been machine washed quite a few times now but still fit perfectly and look like they will last a long time. I'm so pleased with them that I've just ordered 5 more pairs [from the sister site, buyXsocks.com]

Anonymous on the Run Performance Socks

have loads of pairs of these socks and have run a few marathons in the last year or so and have never had any blisters, cuts or sores so they just cant be beat.

John Mc Elhinney on the Airforce 1 Socks

Slowly but surely Airforce 1 X-Socks are supplanting every other sock I have, and with very good reason: a very, cool, comfortable and light sock, yet with protection and support in all the right places, with the result that my feet never feel like they've done a day's work!
Keith Ellis on the Sky Run Socks

Well, I ran my first Half Marathon on the 19th October 2008. I passed my PB of 2.03 minutes with a 1.52. I was of course running in Sky Run Socks. I have just discovered this product being new to running, well one year and god knows how many cotton sports sock later, and look forward to new challenges and finding which X-Socks help the best. I am quite sure Sky Run Socks helped me get through by not having to think about my feet. Well done.

Rachel Prince on the Lady Speed One Socks

Tried a couple of other brands but after reading rave reviews on the RW forum I tried these. They got me round the Great North Run - not a blister in sight! Marvellous!
I just want to say well done to everyone that made an entry, well done to the runners up and well done to Ed.

To everyone else: don't give up now, this is real, get submitting your customer reviews of the products in my shop at www.buyXsocks.com and you will be entered in the November Free Sock Comp - simple as that.

=> You Gotta Be In It To Win It.

Have fun everyone.

James.
